Architecture, Territorial Innovation and European Cooperation
The practice is progressively expanding its activities through participation in European networks and initiatives dedicated to urban and territorial regeneration, with particular reference to the New European Bauhaus (NEB) and the European Urban Initiative (EUI).
Our objective is to combine architectural expertise with emerging European policies on sustainability, inclusion and high-quality design, contributing to innovative approaches for the regeneration of existing buildings and the sustainable development of cities and territories.
Particular attention is devoted to small and medium-sized municipalities, which are facing common European challenges including demographic change, affordable housing, adaptive reuse of existing buildings, climate resilience and community wellbeing.
The practice actively engages in international events, capacity-building activities and European cooperation initiatives to exchange knowledge, strengthen partnerships and contribute to the implementation of innovative place-based solutions.
MATTEO VENTURINI ARCHITECT
I was born in Genoa on March 27, 1976.
I graduated in Architecture in 2002 and began my career collaborating with various architectural firms where I explored design and restoration issues.
In 2008 I opened my first architectural firm in Sestri Levante, where I live, and I focus on residential, tourism-hospitality, and the restoration of architectural heritage projects.
Since 2020, the firm has been based in Chiavari (Genoa) and I practice my profession by with the help of a network of established professional collaborations.
I have always believed in the importance of education, study and experience.
I have been fortunate to meet demanding teachers who have shaped my discipline and fueled my curiosity for knowledge.
I find inspiration in Frank Lloyd Wright's quote: "Every great architect is—of necessity—a great poet. He must be the original interpreter of his time, his day, his age."
I approach Art and Architecture with a profound humanistic sense and an intuitive approach.
This is what I strive to give back through my profession.
The practice operates in the field of architecture and renovation of existing buildings, with an approach based on technical rigor, full regulatory compliance, and integrated management of the entire design and construction process.
For over twenty years, we have assisted private and institutional clients in the transformation and enhancement of existing properties, managing projects that require multidisciplinary coordination, clear decision-making, and careful control of time, cost, and quality.
We have developed extensive experience in the architectural, functional, and energy refurbishment of residential properties, working within complex regulatory frameworks and collaborating with public authorities, contractors, and specialized professionals.
We also assist international clients, particularly from Northern Europe, providing comprehensive technical support during the acquisition, renovation, and management of property, ensuring reliable local representation and clear, structured project management.
